Kakia Catselli works in moving image, painting, sculpture and installation. She treats the image as a trace rather than a depiction — a record of what the eye passed over. Her work stays with what is let in, what is held back, what returns later. The interval is not absence but the material of the work. Her sources are domestic and ordinary, yet political without spectacle: they carry what landscape and memory keep, the texture of a world since lost. Her works include Ballon d'Essai, Phytorio, Nicosia (2026) and Foam Birth, OPEN 9, Venice Lido (2006). She studied at Waltham Forest College and Central Saint Martins, London.
